Instructor: Suzette East Capture the rustic charm of New England through the timeless style of Eric Sloane. In this class, you’ll explore pen and ink techniques to bring character and texture to your drawings, then add depth and color using your choice of watercolor or colored pencil. Our featured subject is an old abandoned logging shed, a perfect opportunity to practice line work, shading, and atmosphere under the guidance of locally renowned artist Suzette East. Supplies Needed: 2H & 4H graphite pencils, assorted watercolor pencils, watercolors, permanent fine line pens (black, brown, or sepia), liner brush, small short round brush, large watercolor brush, water bin, odorless turpentine, tortillions, kneaded eraser, and a 9x12 (or larger) smooth bristol or mixed media pad.
