This activity may not be registered for individually because it is part of a package.

Campus visit and tour of Michigan State University, in Lansing, Michigan. Transportation will be provided by a charter bus company and will transport the Metro Youth staff and participants to the campus.

Bus Pickup and dropoff location will be at:

• Boll Family YMCA, 1401 Broadway St, Detroit, MI 48226
• Departure Time- 8:45am
• Return Time- 4:00pm

Campus visit will include:

• Introduction to key college and university personnel
• Introduction to the registration process
• Information regarding financial assistance through scholarships, grants and loans.
• Information about school major and minor program offerings.
• Learning about the campus life, university student population, demographics, and graduation rate.
• Extracurricular opportunities, housing and employment.

Achievers attending should plan to experience a walking tour of the university campus and participate in a question and answer session with university personnel.

Appropriate Attire to Wear During Campus Visit:

• Dress for the tour is Business Casual.
• Y Achiever issued golf or collared shirt.
• Khaki/dress pants or skirts (no higher than 3 inches above the knee).

Attire Not Acceptable for Campus Visit:

• Ripped, sloppy jeans or pants.
• Halter or skimpy tops, bare midriffs.
• Yoga, tight pants/skirts.

**Note: Any attire deemed inappropriate with printed language or messages are examples of unacceptable apparel as they do not reflect the standard of excellence and pride the YMCA wishes to instill in program participants.
Please note: Student arriving wearing attire recognized as unacceptable will not be allowed to attend the campus visit and be asked to return home.

*Food will be provided to all participants attending the visit at no charge.
