About this event
The American Red Cross Lifeguarding classes are designed to teach you not only the basics in water safety but also the proper protocol when dealing with any emergencies around water. The Red Cross blends both traditional lecture style along with crucial hands-on training in order to teach you effective techniques to deliver prompt care to those in need. Learn how to respond safely and efficiently to water emergencies with lifeguard classes from the American Red Cross. There is a reimbursement program if you are employed at The Center. This is a blended learning class, there is an online portion that must be completed prior to the skills/classroom weekend. You will need to attend the introduction class on September 19th in order to participate in the full certification. Days/Dates: Introduction class: swim prerequisites; online enrollment - Thursday, September 19th, 5:30-6:30 Skills/Classroom: Saturday, Sept 28 - 8a-6p; Sunday, Sept 29 - 8a-6p Cost: Members: $250; Non-Members $295
