Working with Chuck Laurence, the class will create their own unique walking staff. The class will include chip carving basics, how to lay out the staff design, and finishing techniques. In addition, the student will be provided with the opportunity to carve a walking staff "topper". If the student wishes to purchase a premade "topper”, it will be their responsibility to purchase the "topper". The students should have carving gloves and a chip carving knife. Please note that if you do not have a chip carving knife, knives will be available for use during the class.
