Dr. Rick Owens discusses WWI and American foreign policy in the period 1890 - 1920 in this series. Register for the in-person or online option for this weekly hybrid program. (no class Oct. 6)

Oct. 20: America and the War: U.S. Imperialism and expansion to 1914, Domestic Issues in the US. Woodrow Wilson and Bill Bond. German Strategy, 1917 - 1918.
Oct. 27: The Last Year of “The War to End All Wars:” Battles, May - Nov. 1918. The Big Picture, Nov. 1917 - Nov. 1918. The Bolshevik Revolution. “All Quiet on the Western Front.”
Nov. 3: Legacies of WWI: The Treaty of Versailles. The Middle East, The Lost Generation. “Back in the USSR. America as a global super-power.
Dr. Richard Owens is a tenured history professor. He has served twice as a university president, as a college trustee, and as a U.S. Navy officer. Currently, he teaches at West Liberty University and locally at Columbus State. He has published histories, historical novels, more than two dozen historical articles and a series of children’s books.
