Description
Develop a relationship with the native plants around you by learning their names, their identifying traits, and the ecological relationships that make them unique. Participants will join MTSO staff for a gentle walk through our lovely woodlands and prairies while learning methods for plant identification along the way. We will focus, in particular, on the types of native wildflowers and warm-season grasses that make up MTSO’s prairies.Facilitated by Adam Willis, AmeriCorps Conservation Specialist at MTSO, and Gwyneth Hagerty, AmeriCorps Agroecology Practitioner and Educator at MTSO Seminary Hill Farm.
MTSO is located at 3081 Columbus Pike, Delaware. Turn into the drive and bear to the right. Follow the signs to Seminary Hill Farm. There is an orange barn with a parking lot where we will meet.
