About this event
Join Chris Toy for a unique, zen, hands-on workshop creating mesmerizing floating and flowing Mobiles and Stabiles! Transform how you see nature walks. Materials (driftwood, shells, feathers, wire) provided. Bring needle nose pliers and discoveries from your own walks if desired. Just bring your imagination! Chris Toy is a Bath-based artisan, cooking instructor, and author celebrated for his Asian fusion cookbooks and engaging workshops that blend culinary arts with hands-on making. In his classes, he teaches everything from stir-fry techniques to crafting chopsticks, mobiles, and driftwood trees—using recycled materials like cherry, maple, oak, mahogany, walnut, driftwood, shells, and feathers, sourced from local beaches, woods, and fine furniture remnants from shops like Thomas Moser in Freeport. As a registered Maine Guide, he also leads nature-based adventures that reflect his deep-rooted connection to heritage and the outdoors.
