About this event
Strengthen your brain! Learn chess in our Novice class, designed to teach the rules and strategies of the game to those who either do not know how to play or for those who have only a very basic knowledge of chess. We will work together to emphasize chess fundamentals and good sportsmanship. Our beginners instructor is Eduardo Paguaga who has been teaching chess to kids since 2012. He taught with the company Chess Children in Atlanta and teaches chess now at several after-school programs and camps in Rhode Island. He’s worked with all ages and experience levels and is eager to share his passion for chess. He is a scholastic tournament director for The Southeast New England Chess Association.
