Hand-building a 12 inch round, floating clay platter decorated with patterns from the Spring forest floor with a separate mushroom sculpture. Make a great gift for Mother’s Day! Join artist Jackie Wride for a relaxed, hands-on ceramics workshop in a welcoming art studio on a historic farm. Participants will create two original stoneware pieces using earthy brown, green, and white glazes while learning hand-building techniques such as slab building, coiling, and pinching. The workshop theme draws inspiration from Maine’s woodlands, with reference images and sample works to spark imagination and artistic expression. This evening workshop is open to all skill levels.
