Art Workshop: Snowflake and Constellation Ceramic Lantern
Participants are invited to join artist Jackie Wride for a creative clay workshop held in her studio, located in a red barn on an 1820 farm property in Cumberland.In this guided session, each participant will design and construct a ceramic lantern approximately 4 inches in diameter by 8 inches high. The theme will explore patterns and stars inspired by the winter night sky. Reference materials include images of snowflakes and a constellation chart of the winter night sky to help inspire each individual design. The accompanying photo provides an example done by the artist. All materials are included. No prior clay experience is required. Participants will have the opportunity to visit with the artist’s dwarf dairy goats, adding a lighthearted and memorable element to the workshop experience.”
