Description

Learn to weave a round wicker basket, made of invasive bittersweet. Students will employ several different traditional weaving techniques in order to create a strong basket for use in the field, kitchen or garden. We’ll plan to make a basket about 9” wide and 7” deep, with or without a handle. This is a class for beginners, but a moderate amount of hand strength and dexterity is required. Necessary tools, along with locally-sourced hand-harvested basket-weaving materials, will be provided.
