About this event

This activity has been cancelled.

This class will be held Virtually by a Zoom video session.

Supply Kit will be mailed to you before the Zoom session.

What better way to enjoy fall than by learning how to make fresh mozzarella & ricotta cheese!

Register for multiple VIRTUAL classes offered by Hobby Hill Farm Fresh and SAVE $5.00 off each additional class.

In this VIRTUAL class you will learn how to make Fresh Mozzarella & Ricotta cheeses in 30 minutes or less.

Once you register, you will be sent a welcome email from Hobby Hill. The instructor, Sharon, will introduce herself, and explain how the class will work and the supply kit will be put in the mail. She will then send a separate email with your access to step by step videos and the links for the online Zoom class room. (you must have an internet connection to participate in the Zoom class room and watch the video directions).

Hobby Hill will mail you a supply kit, with enough cheese making supplies to make 8 batches of cheese (the same supplies are used for Mozzarella and for Ricotta).

What you need to provided:

  • 2 gallons of milk (1 for mozzarella and 1 for ricotta)
  • food thermometer,
  • basic cooking supplies (large mixing bowl, cooking pot large enough for 1 gallon of milk, measuring cups / spoons, whisk, etc.)

Once you receive your supply kit and directions, you can start making cheese right away!!

OR you can wait and join Sharon with Hobby Hill on Zoom and follow along step by step or just ask questions and show off the cheese you already made.

Or you can do both! There will be enough cheese making supplies in the kit to make multiple batches, you just have to provide the milk.

Once you know how easy it is to make you will enjoy fresh cheese without preservatives or additives year round.

Sign up NOW - only 20 spaces are available. Registration deadline is due to time needed to mail the supply kit.

If space is still available, registering after 9/22 will incur a $10.00 late fee to cover additional postage charges for shipping supply kit to ensure it's arrive before Zoom class.

**please note that once access to the online videos has been given, refunds are not available for this activity.

Supply kit will be mailed by USPS to the mailing address listed on your Culpeper County Parks & Recreation registration account. Be sure that this is accurate so that you receive your supply kit.

Each person registering must have their own unique email address to access the step by step video directions and Zoom class room.

**please note that once access to the online videos has been given, refunds are not available for this activity.
