Special Olympics Young Athletes is a free early childhood play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages two (2) through seven (7) years old. The young athletes program introduces basic sport skills, such as running, kicking, and throwing to young children. Young athletes provides children of all abilities the same opportunities to advance in developmental milestones. Children gain skills in sharing, taking turns, and following directions. The Young Athletes program provides sports readiness to prepare for participation in sports and the Special Olympics program at the age of eight (8) and above. This program will be a continuous program that will take place throughout the year. Parent must remain on site for this program. **When registering, please state any unique behavioral needs or health concerns about the participant.

This is an inclusive program for children with and without intellectual disabilities. Please have your child wear tennis shoes for this program. Parents must remain on site for this program.
