Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned young potter, Clay During the Day is the perfect place to throw, build, and sculpt your own ceramic masterpieces. In our fully equipped ceramics studio with six pottery wheels, a slab roller, extruder, and a rainbow of Cone 6 glazes, you'll explore both wheel throwing and hand building techniques. Beginners will learn the basics like centering clay and throwing mugs, bowls, and plates, while more experienced students will level up their skills with personalized instruction and new techniques. We'll also dive into hand building methods like pinch, coil, and slab construction, plus learn cool ways to decorate, glaze, and fire your finished pieces. Come create functional and sculptural works of art in a welcoming and creative environment. We use Cone 6 clay and glazes that are food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe.
