$15 LAB FEE DUE AT FIRST CLASSLearn a basic understanding of metalsmithing through creation of jewelry and small objects. You will be instructed in a variety of foundation skills including sawing, filing, hammering, riveting, soldering, etc. Classes are devoted to demos and bench time; individual assistance may be given as time permits. Attendance at first class is mandatory. Intermediate and advanced students may register for this class. Advanced level skills will be determined by the instructor. Note: This is not a bead-oriented jewelry class. No casting permitted.Lab fee of $15 is due at the first week of class. Your fee will include a few materials to get you started. Beginners receive:One 2 x 4'' 20ga piece of base metalFive saw bladesThree sheets of sandpaperFour .5 x 3'' 18ga pieces of base metalAll subsequent sessions, your lab fee pays for use of the space, tools, equipment, and expendables the studio provides.
