Description
This activity is closed to further registration.
Lab Fee $30 due at first class.
Learn the basics of screen printing using photo emulsion to transfer images. Students will learn techniques to hand-pull screen prints on a material of your choice (you will be responsible for providing this): paper, fabric, t-shirts, etc. Students may utilize used screens available at the CAC for projects, or if you wish, purchase your own brand-new screens at Blick Art Materials or Richardson Supply, LLC (we suggest waiting until after the first class to decide if you want to purchase your own screen). We will provide emulsion to coat the screens, chemicals for removing emulsion, a selection of inks, and chemicals for cleaning ink from the screens. Plan to wear old clothes and/or an apron. You will be responsible for providing images on transparencies to create images on your screen; more information will be provided during the first class.
