This beginner class introduces you to the joy of oil painting. Focus on color theory and learn a variety of oil painting techniques. During the first class, we review essential art supplies needed, including how to set up and use them. Together, the class paints a simple still life and a landscape, assisted with demonstrations of the different stages of layering an oil painting. Knowledge of drawing and painting is recommended, but experience with oils is not necessary. Intermediate painters welcome to paint independently with guidance as needed.
