Nutrition Education: Understanding the Nutrition Facts Label

Looking for ways to make informed healthy food decisions? This nutrition education session focuses on how to read and understand The Nutrition Facts Label. We will discuss ways to identify hidden sugar using the 5/20 rule. To implement these skills participants will compare household items (e.g. a box of Honey Bunches of Oats vs Sugary Children Cereal) which has more fiber, added sugar, and percent daily value for iron.
