This camp for middle and high schoolers with previous playing experience, is directed by Margaret Maclean, head coach at Allegheny College and Sophia Hamilton, head field hockey coach of Tuscarora High School, Alpha Hockey club coach and former college goalie. Coach Margaret is a former college All-American and All-Conference field hockey player and Coach Sophia, is a multiple conference and NFHCA defensive player of the week award winner. Bringing energy and enthusiasm for the game, they will be assisted by Alpha Hockey coaches and college players. The camp will focus on offensive and defensive skills, decision making and game strategy via small group instruction and scrimmaging. Players will be grouped according to age and skill level. The camp is designed for those who have played field hockey and want to take their game to the next level. This is not a learn to play camp. Campers must provide a field hockey stick, shin guards, mouth guard, cleats or turf shoes, certified field hockey eye goggles (optional), and water. Players should also bring a defensive corner mask if already owned and $2 for an extra mouth guard if needed.
