The build is based on EXACTLY what the Forged In Fire challenge was and I'll be making the sword again right alongside you so you can see what to do as we go. The blade length is between 38 and 40 inches, which is crazy long for a sword (a Roman Gladius is only about 21"). We will work with wrought iron that's more than 100 years old to make the basket, and we are going to do what was planned for the show if time allowed - a fluted handle! The whole build is being filmed, but if you are camera-shy don't worry. We won't have you talk if you aren't comfortable with it.
