Description
Beginning Wheel Throwing is an introductory pottery wheel-throwing class for those with no or limited experience. Max class size for this is 8 so you will get the attention you need as a beginner.Guided by an experienced instructor, students will learn how to center the clay, form basic shapes like bowls and cups, and apply colorful glazes. Pieces are ready for pickup 2-4 weeks from when they are completed.
The pottery wheel requires patience and repetition to master. By the end of the course, students will have an established foundation in wheel-throwing and several finished pieces to take home.
Clay & glazing is included in the tuition. No outside clay is permitted. Communal tools are provided or you may bring your own tools if desired. Studio expectations include cleanup of potter's wheel, bucket and tools at the end of each class.
