CLASS DESCRIPTION Fun themes of sculpting and handbuilding projects are taught throughout the season, featuring both decorative and functional pieces. Students in this class will produce approximately 6 small or medium projects in an 8-week session, depending on their productivity. All clay, glazes and shared tools are included in the 8-week session price. Handbuilding teaches foundational skills for forming ceramic objects using pinch, coil and slab techniques. Students will receive instruction, construction time, glazing time and expert assistance. Projects vary season to season with an emphasis on student creativity (project guidelines allow for students to challenge themselves as they are able). Missed classes can be made up during our Drop-In times throughout the week.
