ALL SWIMMERS FEES INCLUDE $35 INSURANCE FEE***
Fee is only required once for the 2026 season May 4th 2026 – April 30th 2027
Chilliwack Stingrays Summer Swimming Cancellation and Refund Policy:*Each individual withdrawing from the swim club one week prior to May 1st, will receive a refund less $95 ($75 BCSSA fee plus a $20 cancellation fee) of their total fee paid
*Each individual withdrawing before June 1st, will receive a refund of 50% of the registration fees less $95 ($75 BCSSA fee plus a $20 cancellation fee) of their total fee paid
*After June 1st, there is no refund.
*Pups swimmers will receive a refund up to 1 week prior to their registered session and are subject to a $20 fee taken off their registration.
In case of a medical reasons, a doctor's note may be required. The board will review at the first board meeting in September to determine if a refund or credit for next season is applicable. This is at the sole discretion of the board. If approved, a cancellation fee of $20 will be subtracted from the refund total.
BCSSA Insurance Fees are NON - REFUNDABLE at any time of the year. For any group of swimmers (adults/parents, Pups, Rays, Intermediates and Advanced swimmers).
**Group Registration Requirements**
Pups (Parent Participation until swimmer can swim 25 meters unassisted)
- Must be potty trained
- Able to participate in a 30min class
- Must be comfortable getting face wet
- Must be comfortable swimming with assistance in deep water (unable to touch bottom)
- Volunteer and Fundraising may be required (Information will be emailed out before the season starts)
Rays
- Must be able to swim 25 meters unassisted
- Must be able to participate in a 60min class
- Developing front dives off blocks or side of pool
- Developing flip turns and side turns
- Developing the 4 strokes of speed swimming (Freestyle, Breaststroke, Backstroke and Fly)
- Swim meets are encouraged
- Volunteer and Fundraising is required (Information will be emailed out before the season starts)
Jr. Intermediate Rays (under 10 years old)
- Must have a strong understanding of all 4 speed swim strokes
- Able to swim 100IM or 200IM
- Should be comfortable using starting blocks
- Developing the ability to legally swim all 4 strokes using proper techniques
- Should understand preform flip turns and developing technique associated with turns
- Must practice 3 days a week minimum
- Swim meets are highly recommended
- Volunteer and Fundraising is required (Information will be emailed out before the season starts)
Sr. Intermediate Rays (11 years & Older)
- Must have a strong understanding of all 4 speed swim strokes
- Able to swim 100IM or 200IM
- Should be comfortable using starting blocks
- Developing the ability to legally swim all 4 strokes using proper techniques
- Should understand preform flip turns and developing technique associated with turns
- Must practice 3 days a week minimum
- Swim meets are highly recommended
- Volunteer and Fundraising is required (Information will be emailed out before the season starts)
Advanced Rays
- Swimmers should have a legal time in either 200IM time under 3.30 at BCSSA Swim meet or equivalent
- Must be able to participate in a 90min class
- Ability to preform all 4 strokes/turns legally and consistently at practice/meets
- Swimmer should attend a minimum of 4 practices a week
- Volunteer and Fundraising is required (Information will be emailed out before the season starts)
Holidays/No Swimming
- May 18th Victoria Day
- Fraser Valley Spirit Night Aldergrove Pool (Date TBD)
- July 1st Canada Day
- Aug 3rd Civic Holiday
