Registration will close on 7/31/2027 at 11:59 p.m. NEW FOR 2026-2027! Register for all 4 reading challenges for the 2026-2027 Girl Scout year! Join us for the 2026-2027 Seasonal Reading Challenges. Participants will read at their own pace, complete a seasonal reading tracker along the way, and end each season by submitting a Reading Reflection Log. Whether you love graphic novels, chapter books, audiobooks, or reading aloud with family, this challenge is designed to be flexible, inclusive, and fun. To earn the patch, participants must choose at least 1 book from our reading list, read for 20 total hours throughout each challenge (80 hours total), and submit the Reading Reflection Log for each challenge. At the beginning of each challenge, registered participants will receive the reading list, tracker, and reading log instructions via email. Participants who register after October 1 will receive all accumulated materials via confirmation email. Please note, you will receive two emails. One is a receipt, and the other is a Confirmation Email. You will find the guide in your Confirmation Email if you register AFTER October 1. Patches will not be sent unless Reading Reflection Log is submitted! Patches will be mailed at the close of each challenge. Fall: October 1 - November 31, 2026 Winter: December 1, 2026 - January 31, 2027 Spring: March 1, 2027 - April 30, 2027 Summer: June 1, 2027 - July 31, 2027 Surprise freebie will be mailed to participants who purchase this Challenge Pack.
