Description

We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Saturday, April 18, 2026.

A guided hike for amateur and avid herpetologists that will explore the biodiversity of each park and conservation area in Chesterfield County. Join our environmental educators to flip logs, scour wetlands, and hike creek beds looking for reptiles and amphibians of Chesterfield County. Dress for your exploration -- long pants, boots and snake hooks are recommended. Note: Transportation is not provided.
Program Information:
  • Program is held outdoors.
  • Guardians are required to accompany participants, no drop-offs.
  • Hiking footwear is required.
  • Distance traveled will be between 1 and 3 miles.
  • Outdoor surfaces traveled on in this program include gravel and dirt trails with roots and uneven surfaces, fields, dense underbrush and muddy areas.
  • This program includes visual, auditory and tactile elements.
