Description
Designed for individuals navigating midlife and beyond, this class blends accessible yoga sequences with intentional strength training to support healthy aging, vitality, and independence. Research shows that as adults age, declines in muscle strength and endurance can impact independence, balance, and overall well-being while also increasing the risk of injury and disease.To counter this, light dumbbells (1–2 lbs) are incorporated into a mindful yoga flow to build functional strength, improve balance, enhance flexibility and ease of movement. Modifications and chair-supported options are offered, but participants will need to be comfortable transitioning between standing, seated, and floor positions. This practice supports healthy aging through the powerful combination of mindful movement and strength conditioning.Brig a Yoga mat, blocks, belt and a set of light weights (1-2 lbs).Bring a Yoga mat, blocks, belt and a set of light weights (1-2 lbs).
