There is always something wonderous to see in the skies, even during the day! Solar astronomy seems scary, but is safe with the right equipment. Come join in the "fun in the Sun" on select Saturdays at Elizabeth River Park as Chesapeake partners with the local astronomical community for Saturday SUNday! Bonus - astronomy in the daylight is a great time to seek help with your telescope in order to get you ready to get your eyes back into the skies later in the evening. Event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month.
NOTE: Looking directly at the Sun without the correct filters is very dangerous! Please join us for a fun - and safe - view of Earth's closest star!
