Learn the powerful story of Judith Jackson, an enslaved women who sought freedom by joining with British forces during the Revolutionary War. After the war she relocated to Nova Scotia but had to leave her kidnapped child behind. Historian and author Adam Xavier McNeil shares Judith's incredible story and those of other enslaved mothers who faced an impossible choice—risk everything for freedom, or remain home in bondage.
