Welcome to the Y! Great school days end at the YMCA! We are proud to offer an after school recreational enrichment program, filled with academic, recreational and educational enrichment activities, opportunities and classes for older youth. The benefits of Recreational Enrichment programs: • High quality & well-trained staff members. Staff members are Infant, Child & Adult CPR, Basic First Aid, AED & Basic Water Rescue certified. • Clean, safe and secure environments. Peace of mind for working families. • Academic, Recreational and Educational Enrichment sessions and class offerings, including sports, fine arts, STEAM, and more! • We proudly offer Financial Assistance and scholarships to all qualifying families. • Access to American Camp Association Accredited Day Camps and other full-day programs during some school breaks (held off-site). We look forward to supporting your child and family this school year. How this program works: 1. This program is an after school enrichment program. It is not a licensed child care program and it does not take place in a licensed child care facility. This program operates for a maximum of only 16 hours per week. The 16 hours per week is broken down as follows: three (3) hours after school each school day and four (4) hours after school each school day for early dismissal & minimum days. For example, if on a particular day school ends at 2:45pm, the program would end three (3) hours later at 5:45pm. 2. Extended care is available until 6:00pm for parents/guardians who need additional supervised care. Parents/guardians who need their child to stay for the Extended Care Program, may do so by registering their child for the extended time. Extended Care Programs are FREE and open to children who are enrolled in the Recreational Enrichment After School Program only. 3. This program’s payment schedule is based on 11 recurring sessions, starting from the first day of school in August 2022 to the last day of school in June 2023. Each program session is monthly & the fee is based on the number of days of program offered within that monthly session. There are no credits or refunds for non-attendance on program days of operation. Program fees are due on 1st of each month & are not adjusted based on the child’s attendance, arrival and/or departure time to the program on any day of program operation. 4. If there is no school, the program is closed for that day and will not operate. This program does not include any School Break Programs (winter, spring and fall break day camps, if applicable). It does not include any school holidays or pupil-free days. If care or program is needed during school breaks or other pupil-free days, a separate registration is required. o At the time of enrollment an initial payment is due for the child’s first session of the program. All subsequent monthly session payments are drafted on the 1st of each month, by session. We do not permit split payments for before or after school recreational enrichment programs. All fees are due on the 1st of month, in alignment with the start of the session. o A $25 service fee will be applied for all returned items. o All cancellations, changes & refund request must be submitted in writing, 15 days prior to your next billing date. Without such notice, ATS draft billing will continue on a recurring schedule until you give proper written notice or until the program ends, whichever is sooner. Please refer to our Cancellation, Changes & Refund Policies in our Program Handbook. Written notices can be sent to Childcare@ymcala.org MINIMUM ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS: Each YMCA before and after school program requires a minimum enrollment to operate. Prior to the start of each school year, the minimum enrollment requirement must be met by the end of July or the program may be cancelled. If cancelled, the YMCA will refund all payments/deposits for the first month of school. YMCA PROGRAM HANDBOOK ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: By registering for this program, the parent, guardian or authorized representative of the enrolled child acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to all the policies and procedures for enrollment in this YMCA program. In addition, the parent, guardian or authorized representative acknowledges that they have received, read, understood and agreed to the most recent edition of the YMCA Handbook for this program. The YMCA Program Handbook is available to download at www.ymcala.org/daycamp or via request to childcare@ymcala.org. IMPORTANT NOTICE: The YMCA reserves the right to modify the program schedule, as the YMCA sees appropriate, without prior notice to the parent, guardian or authorized representative of the child. This includes but is not limited to: weekly themes, weekly planned activities, weekly field trips (including field trips and vendors that come to the Y) and the weekly curriculum. The YMCA makes no guarantees that the day camp schedule will match the advertised schedule, as things may change between the time that the schedule is prepared and the time of program operation. WRITTEN REQUEST: All written requests must be submitted to ChildCareAccounting@ymcala.org. A verbal notice or written request to the YMCA Director of the program is not sufficient, as it is not the YMCA Director of the program’s responsibility to submit a written request on behalf of a parent, guardian or authorized representative. Physical forms are no longer provided. Any outstanding balances will be due at the time of cancellation. The parent, guardian or authorized representative is liable for any program fees that the YMCA may incur in its effort to collect any remaining balances.
