The Hazardous Materials Operations course is a Virginia Department of Fire Programs’ certification program designed to meet the NFPA 42-08: Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents and accredited through the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (NBFSPQ) and/or the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).
