Pilates uses precise movements to build strength, mental focus, and control.Each exercise is rooted in spinal movement or spinal stabilization. Limbs are used as weights as well as tests of coordination, balance & flexibility. Exercises are done lying on back, lying on side, prone or seated. Please wear comfortable clothing meant for exercise and bring a mat. This class is designed specifically for students new to the practice of Pilates, interested in discovering what it is all about.
