Description

Bringing people together to help restore areas by safely burning brush piles, following both conservation practices and traditional Native American methods to care for the land.

...District's staff Kevin, Restoration Ecologist, will be managing the brush burn pile and talk about fire from a conservation perspective and Gerald Savage, HoChunk Native Elder, will share fire safety, proper fire lighting, and sharing stories regarding fire from an indigenous perspective....We will be meeting at Shelter #2, to the right.
