4th Annual Wire2Wire Running Camp
Join WIRE2WIRE RUNNING for a fun, highly-active, informational/instructional camp on "all things running." In coordination with Cartersville Parks & Rec. Dept., W2W will be offering sessions during each day of the three-day camp will include teaching the fundamentals of both Cross Country and Track & Field, and of course, some workouts. Additionally, beginner and intermediate level instruction will be given on the technical aspects of track & field events as well as key training attributes that all aspiring young runners need to know. Be ready to run! Target age groups include rising 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders.
MEET YOUR CAMP INSTRUCTORS : The camp will be lead by Wire2Wire Running's Coach David Matherne, a two-time National Champion miler, who has coached his high school teams to four (4) State Cross Country Championships and 12 individual State Champions; Coach Matt Terry, a former FSU track star quarter-miler and high jumper(48.2 & 6'10"); and Coach David Gierlak, a well-renowned Cross Country & Track coach with multiple State XC titles at the middle-school level. Collectively with over 60 years of coaching experience between them in C.C./Track, they have a wealth of knowledge in all things running. Additionally, multiple guest instructors & speakers will be present over the course of three (3) days of camp.
What's Needed: Besides an absolutely awesome attitude, bring your running shoes & water bottle! Campers will also want to bring a towel and a dry shirt and/or change of clothes to change into. [Snacks are always provided by W2W during 'Snack Attack Time,' but if your camper has that special, healthy snack he/she prefers, bring it on!] Backpacks are welcome.
DAY OF CAMP REGISTRATION FEE becomes $135.00. Register Early!!

PARKING: Plenty of parking is available at Dellinger Park.
REGISTRATION: Please bring any medicines, Epipen, etc. to registration that your camper might need during the day. Alert us to any allergies your camper has. NO PEANUT-PRODUCTS will be served.
