Description

Join the Park Rangers for an educational walk all about the black bears! While enjoying a walk along the paved paths around Long Ranch Park, you will gain a deeper understanding of these fascinating creatures and the ecosystem they call home.

The hike is considered "easy" under the IMBA Trail Rating system. Expect flat terrain for about 2 miles. Be sure to dress for the weather and bring plenty of water.

Need to Know:- Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult- Dogs are allowed on leash- Online registration is required- If you or a family member needs it, Park Rangers has one Grit Freedom all-terrain wheelchair available. If you'd like to request use of this wheelchair during our program, email parkrangers@carson.org. This request is on a first come first serve basis.
