About this event

Description

Join the Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space Department for the annual informative and fun Sheep Talk! This year, we will be meeting at the McKay Drive Trailhead (located on C-Hill across the street from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints), where the Carson City Park Rangers and the Senior Natural Resource Specialist will be talking about the sheep program, giving fun facts about sheep, and discussing overall trail etiquette when hiking near the sheep. We recommend bringing your camp chairs for the sheep talk! After the Sheep Talk, participants will have the chance to walk the trail and see the sheep up close. For those interested in hiking up to the sheep, we recommend participants wear sturdy shoes and consider bringing hiking poles if you have them as the trail is steep.

Please leave your dogs at home.
When: Thursday, April 30th, 5:00pm-7:00pmWhere: McKay Drive Trailhead (parking will be limited to street parking in the surrounding neighborhood).
If you have questions about the sheep program or Sheep Talk please contact the Senior Natural Resource Specialist, Marenna Lovejoy, at (775)283-7693 or MLovejoy@carsoncity.gov
