Have you ever wanted to try backpacking but weren't sure how to get started? This is the perfect experience for you. Each trip begins with a pre-trip preparation class on Monday at 6pm before the trip. You'll learn how to pack, what to wear, eat, and more. Then, we'll take you on an overnight backpacking trip utilizing the skills you just learned. Destinations will vary, but all will be approximately 4-6 miles to an alpine lake with low to moderate elevation gain. Backpacks and camping equipment included. While trips are designed for beginners, a moderate fitness level is required. Transportation may be available pending current COVID-19 guidelines.
