Description

Lace up your hiking boots and get ready to join the Carson City Park Rangers for a festive holiday hike! This holly jolly hike encourages participants to wear their ugliest holiday sweater. We will be walking from Riverview Park to the Carson River while discovering the secrets of how wildlife prepares for the colder months ahead.

The trail is considered "easy" according to the IMBA and will be about two miles long. Expect flat terrain and minimal obstacles.

Need to Know: - Online registration is required.- Minors under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.- Dress appropriate for the weather and wear closed toe shoes. - Dogs are welcome but must remain on a six-foot leash... and ugly doggie sweaters are encouraged!- If you or a family member need it, Park Rangers have one Grit Freedom all-terrain wheelchair available. If you'd like to request use of this wheelchair during our program, email parkrangers@carsoncity.gov. This request is on a first come first serve basis.
