About this event
Step right up and become the lead engineer of your own amusement park! In this high-energy physics camp, you won't just learn about the laws of motion—you will build them. We turn the classroom into a construction zone where gravity, friction, and force are the tools of the trade. First, you will design the ultimate Paper Roller Coaster. Using only paper and tape, you will engineer gravity-defying loops and drops, learning how to manage potential and kinetic energy to keep your marble on the track. Next, the competition heats up in the Rolling Object Olympics. You will experiment with mass and friction to build custom vehicles, racing them for speed, accuracy, and hill-climbing power. Finally, you will bring it all together in the Simple Machine Amusement Park. Using the mechanical power of levers, pulleys, wheels, and inclined planes, you will design and build a working carnival for mini-figures. Come prepared to build, test, crash, and create!
