We won’t stick to just one style; you will explore the three essential building blocks of pottery to make art pieces with a purpose: Slab, Coil, and the Potter’s Wheel.  First, you will engineer modern, geometric plates using slab construction and craft organic, textured vessels using ancient coil techniques. Then, take a seat at the wheel for the main event! You will learn the challenging but addictive art of "throwing," using centrifugal force to spin raw clay into perfectly round cups and bowls.  This is your chance to stock your kitchen with your own creations. You will design, build, and glaze a fully functional collection of dinnerware that is completely unique to you. Whether you are sculpting a custom mug for your morning cocoa or a set of bowls for your favorite snacks, you will leave with the skills to turn mud into functional masterpieces.
