We invite you to join us for the 6th ANNUAL BORN TO RUN 5K in downtown Canton, GA. Proceeds from the race will benefit Reinhardt's Scholarship Program for Students.
A virtual option has been added. You may run a 3.1 Mile course anywhere you want, in a neighborhood, on a treadmill or just doing housework. You will recieve a shirt and a certificate and if you sumbit a time, you will also receive Black Bag and Clover Glove Series Points. What is Cherokee Scholars? Originally called ADay for Reinhardt, the Cherokee Scholars at Reinhardt program is an annual effort to provide support for Cherokee County students attending Reinhardt University. The Cherokee Scholars program helps fund the University’s Cherokee County Grant Program, which provides eligible students the opportunity to receive as much as $8,000 during their four years at Reinhardt University. More than $5 million in scholarships have been awarded to deserving local students.
Event details and schedule
Early Registration and Packet Pickup: Friday, Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m. at Reformation Brewery 225 Reformation Pkwy Suite 500, Canton, GA 30114. Everyone who picks up their packet early will receive a ticket for a free beverage.
Race Day Registration and Packet Pickup: Begins at 7AM
5K: Starts at 8AM
Awards: Trophies for the top 3 male and female finishers. Age Group awards will be 3 deep in standard age groups beginning with 10 and under to 70 and over. No awards for Virtual Runners
Timing and Results: Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.athlinks.com. Virtual Runners WILL NOT be included in any results posted.
Shirts and Goodies: Shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 10/18/20. Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments. Door prizes will be given out after the awards ceremony. You must be present to win the door prizes.
Series Affiliation: The race is part of the Black Bag Race Series and Clover Glove. Virtual Runners will receive series points but will be put at the end of your respective age group.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
