Description
Intermediate (Standard) First Aid is the prerequisite for Bronze Cross (BC), and Bronze Cross the prerequisite for the National Lifeguard. This course can include BC only or register for the combined course. BC course includes an introduction to safe supervision in aquatic facilities, CPR level C and lifesaving skills. The IFA course includes head and spinal injuries, environmental emergencies, sudden medical illness, soft tissue injuries and poisons. You may be certified in BC or both. IFA will be the first weekend with the BC on the second weekend.
IFA runs Monday and Tuesday 8 - 4 pm. Bronze Cross runs Wednesday - Friday 8 - 4 pm.

Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of Bronze Medallion (does not need to be current) and Intermediate (Standard) or Basic First Aid(does not need to be current) before the start of the course.
All course materials and award fees are included in course fees.
