Welcome to BCIT 5V5 Competitive Basketball Intramurals!
This is a Competitive 5v5 Basketball League that offers 7 regular season games and up to 2 playoff games!
How it Works
Games are played full-court and consist of two officiated 20-minute halves. All teams must have minimum of 8 players per team to ensure substitutions. Please note, this is a structured league that requires teams to commit to playing on a weekly basis. All players are expected to understand the rules to 5v5 basketball prior to joining the league - rules can be found on our website at bcit.ca/recreation.
Cost
- 20% Off Earlybird Price (Sep 8, 2026 - Sep 18, 2026): $20 + tax per player
- Regular Price (Applies on and after Sep 18, 2026): $25 + tax per player
Pre-Season Meeting
Team Captains, Free Agents and new players (i.e. have never participated in BCIT leagues) are required to attend the mandatory Pre-Season Meeting on Thursday September 24 at 5:30pm to participate in the league.
Important League Dates
- Pre-Season Meeting (Mandatory): Thursday, September 24 at 5:30pm in the SE16 Gymnasium
- Game Days: Weekly on Thursdays from October 1 - December 3, 2026
- Playoff Dates: November 26 & December 3 (Note: Top 6 teams after conclusion of regular season qualify for playoffs)
- Game Times: 5:30pm, 6:30pm or 7:30pm
