Welcome to BCIT 5V5 Competitive Basketball Intramurals!
This is a Competitive 5v5 Basketball League that offers up to 8 regular season games and up to 2 playoff games! Winter 5V5 Basketball players will also be vying for the opportunity to represent BCIT in the 3rd annual Intercampus Cup against SFU and KPU!
How it Works
Games are played full-court and consist of two officiated 20-minute halves. All teams must have minimum of 8 players per team to ensure substitutions. Please note, this is a structured league that requires teams to commit to playing on a weekly basis. All players are expected to understand the rules to 5v5 basketball prior to joining the league - rules can be found on our website at bcit.ca/recreation.
Cost
- 20% Off Earlybird Price (Dec 1, 2025 - Jan 17, 2026): $20 + tax per player
- Regular Price (Applies on and after Jan 18, 2026): $25 + tax per player
Pre-Season Meeting
Team Captains, Free Agents and new players (i.e. have never participated in BCIT leagues) are required to attend the mandatory Pre-Season Meeting on Tuesday, January 27 at 5:30pm to participate in the league.
Important League Dates
- Pre-Season Meeting (Mandatory - see note above): Tuesday, January 27 at 5:30pm in the SE16 Gymnasium
- Game Days: Weekly on Tuesdays from February 3 - April 21, 2025 (CANCELED: March 3 & 10)
- Playoff Dates: April 14 & 21 (Note: Top 6 teams after conclusion of regular season qualify for playoffs)
- Game Times: 5:30pm, 6:30pm or 7:30pm
Intercampus Cup 2026Winter Intramural players will be competing for the opportunity to represent BCIT against SFU and KPU intramural teams! Help BCIT bring the championship cup back home to Burnaby!

Special note: This year, Intercampus Cup will be taking place at mid-season. To determine which team will represent BCIT, the first and second seeded teams after Game 4 of the regular season will compete in a single game showdown, with the winner taking all!
