Celebrate the season by painting en plein air in the Garden when weather permits, using soft pastels—an opaque medium with the saturated color of oil paint. This class is taught studio-style, with one-to-one instruction, and each session ends with a group critique to share work and discuss ideas and goals. On rainy days we will work from still-life setups with subjects from the BBG Education Greenhouses and other elements in the classroom. Some class pastels will be provided to bolster each student’s palette. Some experience is recommended. Price includes $7 materials fee.
