Dates: Mar 17, 24 Instructor: Leo Pontius Description: In this class, students of all levels will gain confidence using fiber reactive dyes with all the color options they have to offer. Fiber reactive dyes are super versatile and can be used with a variety of fibers, such as cotton, linen, rayon, and silk. This class will take students through immersion dyeing, direct application, tie-dye, hand painting, and basics on dyes, chemicals and additives while focusing on how to mix and blend colors to get your desired effects. This class is ideal for those working in design who want more conceptual tools under their belt, as well for printmakers and painters who want more control over their colors and materials.
