Through guided exercises and projects, students will practice with foundational tools of color, such as hue, value, and saturation, using these and other elements to build tone, mood, rhythm, and luminosity within their works. The course will introduce students to the basics of a number of color media, using chalk and oil pastels, colored pencils, and cut-paper collage to craft compelling color compositions from both life and reference. For full session classes (8-10 Sessions), registration remains open until the third class meeting. Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or prorated tuition.
