About this event
1 day Level: All Levels This is a workshop series designed for elders to work with clay in a creative, social environment. You can create unique clay objects with step-by-step instruction and demonstrations of wheelthrowing and/or handbuilding techniques. Those who are looking to build creative community, while learning a new skill are encouraged to take this workshop series. Through this series, the BAC aims to offer intergenerational programming for people at every stage of their lives, making art accessible and fun no matter which stage you’re at. As working with clay can be physically demanding, we recommend that participants are able bodied and can lift about 10lbs. If you have any questions about this, please email us at office@brooklineartscenter.com. No previous ceramic knowledge is required. Ceramic work will be fired and ready to take home 6-8 weeks after the session ends. You will be contacted by a staff member when the work is ready for pickup
