Celebrate Family Literacy Week with food, stories, and community!

Join members of the Bowen Island Literacy Task Group for a multicultural potluck dinner celebrating learning, culture, and connection around the table.

We encourage guests to bring a dish that holds meaning or reflects their own culture to share with others. In addition, Bowen Island chefs will be preparing a selection of dishes that represent the rich cultural diversity of our island community. Throughout the evening, we’ll host a variety of family-friendly games and activities based around this year’s Family Literacy Week theme: “Make Mealtime Family Learning Time.”
This program is facilitated by members of the Bowen Island Literacy Task Group who include representatives from the Bowen Island Public Library, Bowen Island Children’s Centre, Bowen Island Museum & Archives, The Hearth, Bowen Island Community School, Bowen Island Health Centre and Bowen Island Community Recreation and is made possible through funding from Decoda Literacy Solutions.
