Online Community Book Group November 20 – Stephen Hawking: A Memoir of Friendship and Physics by Leonard MlodinowA moving account of Mlodinow’s two-decade friendship and collaboration with Stephen Hawking, revealing both his genius and humanity.December 18 – The Alchemist by Paulo CoelhoA modern classic about following one’s dreams and discovering personal destiny, told through the allegorical journey of a young shepherd named Santiago.
January 15 – The Frozen River by Ariel LawhonSet in 1789 Maine, this historical mystery follows midwife Martha Ballard as she seeks justice after a man’s body is discovered frozen in the river.
February 19 – The Borrowed Life of Frederick Fife by Anna JohnstonA touching, funny debut about a lonely older man who finds purpose and family again after a surprising case of mistaken identity.
March 19 – The Best Cook in the World by Rick BraggPart memoir, part cookbook—Bragg’s heartfelt tribute to his mother’s cooking and Southern storytelling, filled with family history and recipes.
This book club chooses a book as a group and meets for discussion once per month.
This group meets ONLINE every 3rd Thursday from 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
