Description
Songwriting is a group class designed to gain or improve students' skills to develop musical ideas using songs as their compositional platform. The class offers a foundation in ear training, theory, rhythm, and improvisation skills and it is open to students from different levels and backgrounds. This second semester will present a framework for students to develop their musical creativity while immersing themselves in both their own compositions and re-compositions of exciting songs, drawing inspiration from all kinds of genres. All work is practically applied, so that students are able to connect new techniques with their own musical goals.
